Street Disciple House
Our house is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and is an intentional community for Catholic men who desire to be formed as disciples for the apostolic renewal of the Church. Men may be students, working a job, or consecrated missionaries. Each member of the house will commit to a life of daily prayer, weekly
evangelization, weekly formation, and community night.

We are looking for men who desire to grow closer to the Lord and share their faith with others.
Three Types of Disciples
One Mission
STUDENT Disciple
Located next to the Marquette University campus, community members can be formed as disciples while studying and discerning their vocation in life. Student Disciples embrace a life of daily prayer, weekly evangelization, weekly formation, and participation in community activities, while they are completing their studies or occupational training. The house is also only one bus ride away from many other Milwaukee colleges, such as UW-Milwaukee, MSOE (Milwaukee School of Engineering), MATC (Milwaukee Area Technical College), MCW (Medical College of Wisconsin), WLC (Wisconsin Lutheran College), and MIAD (Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design).
Working Disciple
Do you want to share your faith? Do you feel like you may be called to a vocation, but are stuck with debt that you are working to pay off? Or do you have other reservations? If you answered yes, we invite you to live in our intentional community for men to be formed as disciples while working a job in the Milwaukee area. You may stay at your current job, while committing to daily and weekly practices to continue to grow in holiness and discern your call. Working Disciples commit to daily prayer, weekly evangelization, and weekly formation and community night.
Consecrated Disciple
Consecrated Disciples are those who wish to dedicate their entire lives to living and proclaiming the Gospel. Consecrated Missionaries fully commit themselves to the spirituality of the association, living in community and taking private vows of Poverty, Chastity, and Obedience. The Consecrated Disciples lead a life of deep prayer, dedicating at least 3 hours a day to practices such as the Liturgy of the Hours, Mass, Holy Hour and private prayer. From this life of prayer, they go out to spread the gospel, make disciples of all nations, and assist in establishing missionary residences in other places. In addition to receiving formation at the house, they also supplement their preparation by taking courses at various Catholic institutions. The consecrated disciples will go through formation to prepare them to lead others in the faith and be sent on mission to establish discipleship houses in other cities as we grow.
COMMITMENTS OF RESIDENT MEMBERS
-
Daily personal and community prayer: Each member commits to dedicating time daily to prayer. Prayer strengthens our personal relationship with God, fosters our spiritual growth, and is the source from which all of our mission work flows.

-
Weekly evangelization: Members actively participate in evangelization activities, sharing the message of Christ with people in their community.

-
Weekly formation: Weekly formation activities deepen our knowledge of the faith, Catholic doctrine, and Christian life.
-
Community Life: Members of the missionary community are expected to uphold respect and decorum at all times and in all places, rooted in Christian ethics and morals. Members are also required to observe the norms and rules established by the association, ensuring that their conduct consistently reflects the values and standards of the community, in order to create a harmonious community environment.

-
Vocation Discernment: Members are single men who are open to discernment of their vocation and striving to grow in freedom and knowledge of oneself to make a gift of self in their call from the Lord. Consecrated disciples have committed to a vocation.
