Safe Answers by Griffin rain
Recently while evangelizing, I have been asking people what they set their hearts on or what they put first in their life? It's an interesting question and can get to the question of God very quickly, but it is also open enough that those who don't care about God will share with me what they have basically turned into their God.
This week there were some very interesting encounters in which I asked someone this question. One of the times I asked this to someone of faith, but were a bit scared to share that. They gave me a safe answer that they would give to anybody, that school was the most important thing. After talking for a while the person realized that it was safe to bring in faith. They said that they should have said God was the most important thing in their life, but they were scared to say that to a stranger.
Do you have a safe answer of what is the most important thing in your life that you share with people like school, job, family Etc? These are good things, but are they the most important thing in our life? If there is something more important than God, do not be afraid to let God touch that thing and transform it. Do not be afraid to put God first in your life. Hopefully God is the most important thing in our life and when he is, your life will radiate His love into all areas. This gives us many opportunities to give witness to the hope that is within you. We each have many opportunities each day that we can share the faith in our daily lives. Do we hide it out of fear and bury that talent that God is giving us? We may put God first in our lives but when we have a safe answer that we give instead of Christ, this is a denial of Christ in a small way like that of Peter. After many times of these denials, our faith has grown weak. Our faith is meant to be shared. When we keep it to ourselves, it dies.
"So also faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead" James 2:17
Jesus now turns to you as he turned to Peter, do you love me more than these? Do you love me? Do you love me? Yes Lord you know that I love you! "Feed my sheep." He has people in your life that are his sheep and they need to be fed. Your witness in the small ways of sharing the hope that is in you can help feed the hungry soul. How many daily encounters do you have that someone asks you for your opinion, advice or just ask you about yourself? Don't miss this next opportunity! If we are faithful in these small ways, we will be able to remain faithful in bigger ways. We don't all have to be full-time street evangelists, but we are all called to bring Christ into our daily lives and share Him. Start where you are with a sense of mission and maybe he will call you to something more. We are all called to be disciples and in doing that, we bring Christ mission right here and now. He desires to work in you to continue his work for the salvation of the world. Will you let him in?

About the Missionaries of the Real Presence
The Missionaries of the Real Presence aims to assist in the apostolic renewal of the church by intentionally discipling men living in community and encouraging missionary vocations in the church. We participate in Christ’s evangelizing work for the salvation of souls especially seeking out those who have been spiritually neglected. We introduce people to Jesus through intentional conversation, preaching, teaching, and prayer. We engage in direct evangelization in the public forum on the city streets, on public transit, in homes and share the good news of Christ with those we meet. All of this flows from a life of prayer and union with Jesus as our source.
